Municipalities of Gulbene and Kekava still showing highest Covid-19 incidence in Latvia
RIGA, Dec 2 (LETA) - Gulbene and Kekava remain the municipalities with the highest Covid-19 incidence in Latvia, with the rate of infections still climbing, the data of the Center for Disease Prevention and Control (CDC) shows.
Cumulative two-week number of Covid-19 cases per 100,000 population in Latvia has dropped to 572.6. In Gulbene Region the incidence number is more than twice as high and has risen from 1,355.8 to 1,386.4 over the past day.
In Kekava Region, cumulative two-week Covid-19 incidence is 881.1 cases per 100,000 population.
Of the 712 new Covid-19 cases confirmed in Latvia over the past 24 hours, 35 percent, or 247 cases have been recorded in Riga where the two-week number of cases has dropped to 3,793.
Another 33 new cases have been registered in Daugavpils, 34 in Jelgava, 27 in Cesis Region, 24 in Gulbene Region, 22 in Jekabpils Region, 22 in Sigulda Region, 21 in Liepaja and 21 in Ogre Region.
