The LETA Photo Department has been delivering high-quality visual content to Latvian media and businesses since 2005. Our team consists of five experienced photographers and two editors who capture the most important events in Riga and across Latvia every day.

LETA photographs are regularly published by the Baltic region’s largest photo agency Scanpix, and internationally recognized agencies such as Reuters, AFP, AP, and EPA. This reflects the quality of our work and our adherence to the highest professional standards.

Photo services for companies and organizations

In addition to our work in the media sector, we offer professional photography services for companies, institutions, and organizations. We provide high-quality and fast photo coverage of conferences, press events, seminars, company openings, and other corporate occasions.

We also photograph buildings, interiors, architecture, and environmental objects, as well as create visual content for offices, institutions, production facilities, and retail spaces.

The LETA Photo Department also offers portrait sessions for company executives, employees, and publicity materials - a professional visual image is an essential part of modern communication.

Aerial photography

All LETA photographers are certified drone pilots, enabling us to provide aerial photography. This is an opportunity to present events, objects, and projects from a unique and visually striking perspective.

LETA takes care of all necessary permits and drone flight arrangements.

LETA Photo archive

Over the years, we have built one of the largest photo archives in Latvia, now containing more than one million images covering a wide range of events, personalities, and industries.

Archive search has become even smarter - keywords are analyzed not only in image descriptions but also within the images themselves. Thanks to advanced image recognition technologies and artificial intelligence, the system can identify objects, locations, and even company logos in photographs, including cases where they are not explicitly mentioned in the description.

Scanpix - the largest photo content network in the Baltics

In 2022, a significant development took place through a tripartite agreement, and LETA became the sole owner of Scanpix Baltics, expanding the range and diversity of photo content available to its clients.

Scanpix is the largest photo content platform in the Baltics, bringing together visual content from the world’s leading news agencies and regional media in one place. Clients have access to images from international agencies such as Reuters, AFP, Associated Press, EPA, and DPA, as well as from Scanpix Sweden, Scanpix Norway, and Baltic media outlets, including Postimees Grupp and Delfi.

Scanpix combines local expertise with a global perspective, enabling media, companies, and organizations to access a wide range of professional visual content to support both news production and communication materials.
