Number of new Covid-19 cases drops in almost all municipalities
RIGA, Nov 10 (LETA) - The number of new Covid-19 cases has dropped in almost all municipalities in Latvia, while Daugavpils still reports the highest Covid-19 incidence, according to the Center for Disease Prevention and Control (CDC).
The 14-day cumulative Covid-19 incidence in Latvia is 1,405.2 cases per 100,000 population, while in Daugavpils it is 2,609.5 cases.
Other municipalities exceeding the average incidence level in the country are Salaspils, Kraslava, Augsdaugava, Preili and Jekabpils municipalities, Ventspils, Liepaja, Sigulda and Kekava municipalities, Rezekne, Kuldiga, Bauska, Olaine, Livani, Ropazi and Ventspils municipalities.
Of the 1,689 new Covid-19 cases reported on Tuesday, 32 percent or 534 were registered in Riga, and the 14-day cumulative number of cases has reached 8,466.
Daugavpils reported 124 new cases, Liepaja - 80, Bauska municipality - 50, Valmiera municipality - 49, Ventspils - 47, Cesis and Kekava municipalities - 44, while a number of other municipalities reported a smaller number of new cases.
