Riga-based vaccination centers to provide 80,000 inoculations against Covid-19 per week
RIGA, Mar 29 (LETA) - The mass vaccination centers that are being set up in Riga will be ready to provide up to 80,000 inoculations against Covid-19 per week, Eva Juhnevica, head of the Vaccination Project, told journalists.
According to the current plan, there will be eight mass vaccination canters, as well as six vaccination tents operating in Riga. The two largest centers are the Kipsala exhibition center, operated by RTU-VT 1, and and ATTA conference center, operated by Morient IG.
The two above centers are the highest, or A-tier vaccination centers with a capacity of up to 20,000 vaccinations per week.
Six smaller vaccination centers will open at the National Sports Arena, Gastro Pavilion of the Riga Central Market, Riga High School No. 15, Riga House of Congresses, Riga Hanza High School and Riga High School No. 19. The six vaccination tents will be pitched in Victory Park, Riga High School No. 64, Riga High School No. 84, children and youth center IK Auseklis, Riga High School No. 63 and Ziemelblazma culture palace.
In Juhnevica's words, three vaccination centers in Riga - at the Kipsala hall, ATTA Center and the Central Market - might open during the coming Easter holidays.
