Riga, June 8 (LETA) - The Union of Greens and Farmers has won the local elections in Jelgava municipality, according to data published by the Central Election Commission (CVK).

The Greens/Farmers received 29.06 percet of the votes in 21 polling stations in Jelgava municipality. The National Alliance is currently in the second place with 12.8 percent.

The Latvian Association of Regions is next with 11.75 percent of the votes, the New Unity received 9.61 percent of the votes, and Nation. Land. Statehood - 8.77 percent. Latvia's Green Party received 6.36 percent of the votes.

The other parties in Jelgava region have not broken the 5 percent barrier. The closest was For Latvia's Development with 4.97 percent.
