RIGA, Dec 4 (LETA) - In the first 11 months of 2024, a total of 8,688 new companies were registered in Latvia, which is 5.8 percent or 477 companies more than in the first 11 months of 2023, according to the latest Lursoft report.

In November, entrepreneurs in Latvia registered 849 new companies which is 41 fewer than in October and 109 companies more than in November 2023.

Lursoft informs that the total share capital of the new companies registered in November was EUR 85.89 million. Investments made in the capital of LLC Latreco and LLC Elektrum Next made the lion's share of the new companies' total share capital.

Of the new companies registered last month, six have a share capital of more than EUR 1 million, while in October none had a paid-up share capital of more than EUR 1 million at the time of registration.
