LRA, Greens/Farmers agree on cooperation in new Marupe regional council
RIGA, June 28 (LETA) - Latvia's Alliance of Regions (LRA) and the Union of Greens and Farmers have agreed on cooperation in the new Marupe regional council.
Long-term Babite regional council chairman Andrejs Ence said that both parties have agreed on cooperation and therefore they have the necessary majority of votes - ten out of 19.
Ence did not reveal who will be put forward as the chairman of the new Marupe council. According to the information at the disposal of LETA, Ence seemingly will be put forward for the position, and not the current Marupe mayor Martins Bojars.
Ence did not want to comment on possible cooperation partners, saying that all decisions will be made on July 1.
As reported, LRA won five seats, Greens/Farmers won five seats, for Latvia's Development won four seats, the National Alliance won three seats and New Unity won two seats at the new Marupe region.
