Power supply restored to some 16,700 households in Ogre and Ikskile regions after outage
RIGA, Dec 8 (LETA) - On Tuesday afternoon power supply was restored to some 16,700 homes in the central Latvian regions of Ogre and Ikskile after disruptions earlier in the day, LETA was told at Sadales Tikls power grid operator.
Power supply to Sadales Tikls clients was disrupted after a 110-kV power cable failed.
The reasons for the power cable's failure are being investigated. Augsprieguma Tikls transmission system operator and Sadales Tikls dispatched repair teams to deal with the outage.
