Most of Latvia's new Covid-19 cases recorded in Riga and Ropazi municipality
RIGA, Aug 18 (LETA) - Of the 180 new Covid-19 cases confirmed in Latvia in the past 24 hours, 38 percent of cases have been recorded in Riga, and many cases have been reported also in the municipality of Ropazi, according to the data of the Center for Disease Prevention and Control (CDC).
The 69 new Covid-19 cases recorded in Riga brought the city's cumulative 14-day number of Covid-19 cases to 571.
Meanwhile, Ropazi municipality recorded 15 cases, Jurmala recorded nine, Daugavpils, Liepaja, municipalities of Gulbene and Jekabpils recorded seven, Madona municipality reported six cases. A number of other municipalities registered fewer cases.
Latvia's cumulative 14-day number of Covid-19 cases per 100,000 population rose to 72.4, according to CDC data.
