Most of new Covid-19 cases were registered in Riga
RIGA, Dec 22 (LETA) - Of the 1,004 new Covid-19 cases registered in the past 24 hours, 431 were registered in Riga, according to the data from the Center for Disease Prevention and Control (CDC).
Riga reported 341 new Covid-19 cases, and the capital city's 14-day cumulative number of Covid-19 cases has reached 3,758.
The latest 62 cases in Daugavpils brings the 14-day cumulative number in Latvia's second largest city to 1,217. Ventspils registered 30 new Covid-19 cases, bringing the total 14-day number to 192.
The largest number of active Covid-19 cases are registered in Riga (3,758), Daugavpils (1,217) and Jelgava (383).
Latvia's cumulative 14-day number of Covid-19 cases per 100,000 has reached 533.1.
As reported, Latvia confirmed 1,004 new Covid-19 cases on Monday, while another 16 coronavirus patients passed away, according to the data released by the Center for Disease Prevention and Control (CDC).
Of those who died last the day, one was aged 40 to 45, one aged 55 to 60, two aged 60 to 70, five aged 70 to 80, six aged 80 to 90 and one aged from 90 to 95 years. Latvia's total Covid-19 death toll rose to 459.
