Karina Mikelsone elected chairwoman of Adazi municipal council
RIGA, Nov 1 (LETA) - On Tuesday, Karina Mikelsone (Latvia's Association of Regions, LRA) was elected the chairwoman of Adazi municipal council with a support of 12 votes, LETA learned from the council's spokeswoman Laima Jatniece.
A new council chairperson had to be elected because Adazi mayor Maris Sprindzuks (LRA) has been elected to the parliament.
Mikelsone, taking up the new position, said that one of the main priorities will be education for children and youth, availability of preschools, growth of the secondary school in Carnikava.
Also , it is important to improve the municipality's internal capacity, improve availability of health services, improvement of micromobility infrastructure
