RNP municipal housing manager has started heating season
Riga, Oct 3 (LETA) - Starting today, Rigas Namu Parvaldnieks (RNP) municipal housing manager starts to switch on heating in residential houses managed by the company, RNP spokesperson Inita Kabanova informed LETA.
All buildings are to be switched to heating within three days, while each house will find out the specific date in an individual notification from RNP's customer portal e-parvaldnieks.lv or mobile app.
The heating will be switched on later in renovated houses, which retain heat for longer and therefore have a shorter heating season and cost less to the residents.
Within two weeks, heating system stabilization works will continue.
The RNP decides whether to start heating according to pre-defined criteria - the outside air has not warmed above +14 degrees C for at least three days and has cooled down to +8 degrees C at some point. In addition, similar or cooler weather is expected over the next three days.
On warm days, the heating will switch off automatically.
RNP is 100 percent owned by Riga City Council. It manages more than 3,800 residential houses and buildings with a total area of more than 7.5 million square meters.
In 2023, the company had a turnover of EUR 74.22 million and a profit of EUR 5.05 million.
