Over 21,000 people have died in Latvia so far this year
RIGA, Dec 13 (LETA) - This year, 21,615 people died in Latvia between January and the beginning of November, which was 3.3 percent less than in the same period last year, according to information compiled by the Central Statistical Bureau.
Of these, 10,019 were men and 11,596 - women.
The majority of the deceased - 3,784 - were aged between 85 and 89 years.
On average, more than 490 people have died in Latvia per week this year.
