New Conservative Party wins municipal elections in Livani municipality
Riga, June 8 (LETA) - The New Conservative Party has won the municipal elections in Livani municipality, winning 34.7 percent of the votes, according to data published by the Central Election Commission (CVK) after counting the votes cast at all polling stations in the municipality.
The second place in the elections was won by the joint list of For Latvia's Development, the New Unity and the National Alliance. 26.5 percent of voters voted for this list.
As many as 19.1 percent of the population voted for Latvia's Green Party, and 5.5 percent voted for the Harmony party.
The other parties have not managed to overcome the 5 percent threshold.
The New Conservative Party could have won six seats in the municipal council, the joint list of For Latvia's Development, the New Unity and the National Alliance - five seats, Latvia's Green Party - three seats, and Harmony - one.
