Highest number of Latvia's new Covid-19 cases recorded in Riga and Jelgava
RIGA, April 22 (LETA) - Of the 578 new Covid-19 cases confirmed in Latvia in the past 24 hours, one third has been recorded in Riga, with Jelgava, Daugavpils and Ogre also reporting a comparatively high number of cases, according to the data released by the Center for Disease Prevention and Control (CDC).
Riga reported 187 new Covid-19 cases, which brought the capital city's cumulative 14-day number of Covid-19 cases to 2,534.
Jelgava's cumulative 14-day number of Covid-19 cases reached 438, with 24 cases recorded in the past 24 hours.
Liepaja registered 22 new Covid-19 cases and the city's cumulative 14-day number of cases grew to 297, while Ogre county also reported 22 new cases, with the cumulative two-week number rising to 219.
Latvia's cumulative 14-day number of Covid-19 cases per 100,000 population increased to 400.8.
