Largest number of economically active enterprises outside Riga at end of last year was in Liepaja
RIGA, Dec 6 (LETA) - The largest number of economically active enterprises outside Riga at the end of last year was in Liepaja, according to information compiled by the Central Statistical Bureau.
At the end of 2024, 184,758 economically active enterprises were registered in the country. Of these, 75,288 were registered in Riga, 6,096 - in Liepaja, and 5005,- in Ogre Region. In all these places, the number of economically active enterprises had increased during the year.
At the same time, the smallest number of economically active enterprises at the end of last year was in Varaklani Region, where 279 enterprises were registered. During the year, the number of enterprises decreased by four.
