Omniva plans to install 20 community parcel machines in Latvia's neighborhoods and regions in spring

Riga, Feb 12 (LETA) - In spring, Omniva plans to install 20 community parcel machines in the neighborhoods and regions of Latvia, the company informed LETA.

The new community parcel machines are planned to be located in Augstkalne, Baltinava, Indra, Palsmane, Tilza, Varini, Jaunberze, Laudona, Durbe, Renceni, Pope, Gaujiena, Jaungulbene, Daudzeva, Sece, Inciems, Auciems, Riga, Tukums and Jelgava.

The company informed that Omniva Group will start expanding its network of parcel machines in March, with a particular focus on the neighborhoods and regions of Latvia.

The new parcel machines are specifically designed for areas outside cities - they are battery-powered, quick to set up and move if necessary, and can be expanded modularly from seven to 21 compartments.

Agnese Grinberga, Omniva's Country Manager in Latvia, pointed out that the new and compact size is designed for less populated areas and neighborhoods where it is not economically or technically feasible to install traditional parcel machines.

In Latvia, the new parcel machines will be installed in Riga and regional centers, as well as in smaller settlements across the country, extending access to services beyond the largest cities.

The locations of the new parcel machines are determined in cooperation with local authorities and communities, who know best the commuting habits and daily service needs of the area's residents.

At the same time, the analysis of the most suitable locations is still ongoing. Omniva will shortly launch a public call for proposals for new locations from residents and municipalities.

As reported, Omniva Group delivered a total of 36 million parcels in the Baltic states last year.

Omniva's turnover in Latvia in 2024 was EUR 23.319 million, which is 10.9 percent more than a year earlier, while the company's profit increased 2.9 times to EUR 1.929 million. At the same time, Omniva Group's total turnover in 2024 was EUR 141.4 million, up 7.4 percent compared to 2023.

The company is wholly owned by Estonia's Eesti Post.
