Highest number of Latvia's new Covid-19 cases recorded in Riga, Daugavpils
RIGA, Sept 10 (LETA) - Out of the 489 new Covid-19 cases confirmed in Latvia over the past 24 hours, one third was recorded in Riga, according to the data released by the Center for Disease Prevention and Control (CDC).
The 166 new cases discovered in Riga brought the cumulative 14-day number of Covid-19 cases in the Latvian capital to 1,325.
Daugavpils, Livani and Valmiera municipalities reported 23 new Covid-19 cases each, Jekabpils municipality - 20 cases, Jurmala - 17 cases, Rezekne municipality - 16 cases, Ventspils - 15 cases and a number of other municipalities reported fewer cases.
Latvia's cumulative 14-day number of Covid-19 cases per 100,000 population rose to 238.4.
