Riga Restaurant Week reaches new record of 22,000 visitors
Riga, Nov 26 (LETA) - This autumn's Riga Restaurant Week has become one of the most successful so far in terms of attendance, restaurant and guest feedback, reaching a new record of 22,000 visitors, Madara Oga, Chief Project Manager of the International Marketing Department of the Riga Investment and Tourism Agency, told LETA.
Riga Restaurant Week took place from October 27 to November 9, with more than 60 restaurants taking part in it.
This autumn, the restaurants particularly praised the well-timed and visible advertising campaign and communication strategy.
The Riga Investment and Tourism Agency, the organizer of Riga Restaurant Week, also attracted well-known social media influencers who encouraged visitors to come to Restaurant Week. The marketing campaign included short video stories featuring chefs from Riga restaurants, which received wide engagement on digital media.
According to the Riga Investment and Tourism Agency, 10-15 percent of all visitors this autumn were from abroad who took the opportunity to get to know modern Latvian cuisine.
