Bartasevics re-elected Rezekne mayor
RIGA, July 1 (LETA) - Aleksandrs Bartasevics (Harmony) was re-elected Rezekne mayor on Thursday.
Even though Harmony won eight out of 13 seats on Rezekne City Council this year, this is one seat less than at the previous elections four years ago.
Bartasevics emphasized that Harmony was open for cooperation with all other parties elected to Rezekne City Council.
Three candidates for a joint ticket of Latgale Party, National Alliance, Latvian Green Party, New Unity and Latvian Association of Regions have also been elected to Rezekne city council, as well as one candidate from New Conservative Party and one from the Progressives party.
