27% of Latvia's new Covid-19 cases recorded in Riga
RIGA, May 7 (LETA) - Of the 1,036 new Covid-19 cases confirmed in Latvia in the past 24 hours, 27 percent have been recorded in Riga, with Daugavpils, Jelgava and Ventspils also reporting a comparatively high number of cases, according to the data released by the Center for Disease Prevention and Control (CDC).
Riga reported 282 new Covid-19 cases, which brought the capital city's cumulative 14-day number of Covid-19 cases to 2,752.
Daugavpils' cumulative 14-day number of Covid-19 cases rose to 264, with 52 cases recorded in the past 24 hours.
Jelgava, as well as Ventspils reported 34 new cases each, bringing the cumulative 14-day number of Covid-9 cases t 350 and 137 respectively.
Latvia's cumulative 14-day number of Covid-19 cases per 100,000 population is now 435.1.
