Most of new Covid-19 cases reported in Riga, Daugavpils, Valmiera and Olaine county
RIGA, Jan 18 (LETA) - Out of the 244 new Covid-19 cases confirmed in Latvia over the past 24 hours, almost half was recorded in Riga and the number of infections has increased also in Daugavpils, Valmiera and Olaine county, according to the data released by the Center for Disease Prevention and Control (CDC).
The 104 new cases discovered in Riga brought the cumulative 14-day number of Covid-19 cases in the Latvian capital to 3,781.
Olaine county reported 13 new cases, Daugavpils - 12, and Valmiera - 11.
With 3,781 Covid-19 cases recorded in the past two weeks, Riga remains the municipality with the highest cumulative 14-day number of Covid-19 cases, followed by Daugavpils with 989, Rezekne with 469.
Latvia's cumulative 14-day number of Covid-19 cases per 100,000 population is now 670.5.
