Several Z symbols expressing support for Russia's war in Ukraine painted on different facilities in Latgale during past week
RIGA, Oct 7 (LETA) - During the past week, several Z symbols expressing support for Russia's war in Ukraine were painted on different facilities in Latgale, the State Police said on Monday.
On Sunday, September 29, the police were reported that Z letters had been painted in red on two road signs at Ruduki-Medni road in Rugaji County, Balvi Region.
On Wednesday, October 2, police officers spotted a black letter Z painted on a tree by the roadside in Daugavpils.
Yesterday, October 6, police officers also ascertained that a Z letter had been painted on an abandoned building in Augsdaugava Region.
Administrative investigation is ongoing in all three cases.
