RIGA, June 4 (LETA) - Turnover of Daugavpils municipal district heating company Daugavpils Siltumtikli amounted to EUR 23.733 million last year, which is 41.5 percent less than in 2023, while the company's losses stood at EUR 1.679 million, compared to a profit in 2023, according to Firmas.lv.

In 2024, Daugavpils Siltumtikli revenues from heat distribution amounted to EUR 23.55 million, 42 percent less than in 2023.

The company's annual report attributes the decrease in revenue to lower heat tariffs. The tariff in 2024 was EUR 73.18 per megawatt-hour (MWh), down from EUR 123.16 per MWh in 2023.

Last year, 322,475 MWh of heat were sold to consumers, which is 2.2 percent less than in 2023. The decrease is due to warmer weather during the heating season.

Daugavpils Siltumtikli turned over EUR 40.561 million and earned EUR 5.333 million in profit in 2023.

The company was registered in 1992 and has a share capital of EUR 18.476 million. Daugavpils City Council is the sole owner of Daugavpils Siltumtikli.
