Around third of Latvia's new Covid-19 cases recorded in Riga
RIGA, Nov 5 (LETA) - Of the 1,821 new Covid-19 cases confirmed in Latvia in the past 24 hours, 30 percent have been recorded in Riga, and a high number of cases have been recorded also in Daugavpils and Liepaja, according to the data released by the Center for Disease Prevention and Control (CDC).
The 554 new cases discovered in Riga brought the cumulative 14-day number of Covid-19 cases in the Latvian capital to 10,016.
Daugavpils registered 132 new cases in the past 24 hours as its cumulative 14-day number of Covid-19 cases reached 2,560.
Liepaja confirmed 101 new Covid-19 cases, Bauska municipality - 48, Cesis municipality - 46, Augsdaugava and Ogre municipalities - 45, and all other municipalities reported fewer cases, while Varaklani municipality did not report any new Covid-19 case.
Latvia's cumulative 14-day number of Covid-19 cases per 100,000 population is now 1,652.8 according to CDC data.
