Heating tariffs to grow by another 17% in Salaspils
RIGA, Sept 21 (LETA) - Heating tariffs in Salaspils might grow by another 17 percent as of November 1 - to EUR 89.59 per MWh, according to the new tariff plan submitted by Salaspils Siltums heating utility to the Public Utilities Commission.
At present, heating tariff in Salaspils, including excise tax, is EUR 76.55 per MWh.
As reported, heating tariffs in Salaspils increased by 23.9 percent as of September 1.
The tariff change is explained with the changes in fuel prices. The Public Utilities Commission still has to approve the new tariff.
Salaspils Siltums belongs to Salaspils regional council. The company was registered in 1996 and has a share capital of EUR 6,054,000.
Salaspils Siltums last year posted EUR 2.97 million in turnover and earned EUR 290,000 in profit.
