Mobile app developed for promoting integration of refugees
RIGA, Aug 19 (LETA) - Organization FreeBelarus in cooperation with Socialais Kods has developed a mobile app Riga.events, collecting information about culture, entertainment, sports and other events in Riga and the surroundings in order to help Belarusian and Ukrainian refugees in Latvia to adapt in the Latvian capital, Free Belarus representatives told LETA.
The app will have information about free of charge events or events with low ticket prices, as well as events important for the city and the state.
FreeBelarus representatives said that the application has been developed because when arriving in Riga and wishing to join the culture life, refugees find that information about events is fragmented, and there has been no unified platform with information about the events in the Latvian capital
Riga.events can run on smart devices and computers.
The project was co-funded by the Riga city society integration program.
