Most of Latvia's new Covid-19 cases recorded in Riga, Jelgava and Ropazi
RIGA, April 28 (LETA) - Of the 967 new Covid-19 cases confirmed in Latvia in the past 24 hours, 29 percent have been recorded in Riga, while a relatively high number of cases have been reported also in Jelgava and the Ropazi municipality, according to the data released by the Center for Disease Prevention and Control (CDC).
Riga reported 284 new Covid-19 cases, which brought the capital city's cumulative 14-day number of Covid-19 cases to 2,642.
The municipality of Ropazi registered 46 new cases, which raised the municipality's 14-day Covid-19 incidence to 73.
Jelgava registered 36 new Covid-19 cases, as its cumulative two-week number of cases grew to 383.
Daugavpils and the municipalities of Ogre and Tukums reported 26 new Covid-19 cases each, and the Kekava municipality reported 20 cases.
Latvia's cumulative 14-day number of Covid-19 cases per 100,000 population increased to 419.9, according to LETA's estimates.
