Crowd testing in Gulbene shows 2.17% positive Covid-19 tests
RIGA, March 15 (LETA) - During last week's crowd testing in Gulbene county, 2.17 percent of the submitted 2,532 saliva tests were positive for Covid-19, Gulbene county representative Gunta Kalmane reported.
She said that in four days 3,255 saliva test samples were distributed and 2,532 tests were handed back.
The local government concluded that Covid-19 spread in under control therefore no additional restrictions will be introduced. The Municipal Police in cooperation with the State Police and Home Guard will supervise how residents are following the current restrictions, said Kalmane.
Also this week institutions and companies may receive saliva test samples for their employees.
As reported, crowd testing with saliva samples were organized in Gulbene and Balvi region due to a significant Covid-19 outbreak.
