Vitolins re-elected as Ventspils mayor
Riga, June 20 (LETA) - On Friday, Janis Vitolins (For Latvia and Ventspils) was re-elected chairman of Ventspils city council.
Ten out of 13 deputies voted for Vitolins. Two deputies from the joint list of Latvia's Green Party, the Latvian Association of Regions, the Liepaja Party and the New Conservative Party, voted against him.
Vitolins was the only candidate for the post of the mayor.
As reported, For Latvia and Ventspils party of the incumbent Mayor Vitolins and former Mayor Aivars Lembergs has once again won the local elections in Ventspils, according to data published by the Central Election Commission.
