Most of Latvia's new Covid-19 cases recorded in Riga, Liepaja and Jelgava
RIGA, Mar 1 (LETA) - Out of the 272 new Covid-19 cases confirmed in Latvia over the past 24 hours, nearly half were recorded in Riga, but Liepaja and Jelgava reported quite a few cases as well, according to the data released by the Center for Disease Prevention and Control (CDC).
The 132 new cases discovered in Riga brought the cumulative 14-day number of Covid-19 cases in the Latvian capital to 3,099.
Liepaja's cumulative 14-day number of Covid-19 cases dropped to 310, with 13 new Covid-19 cases detected in the past 24 hours.
Jelgava registered 11 new Covid-19 cases, while its cumulative 14-day number of Covid-19 cases decreased to 255.
The regions of Jelgava and Olaine each recorded nine new Covid-19 cases and Jurmala and Marupe region each recorded eight cases.
Latvia's cumulative 14-day number of Covid-19 cases per 100,000 population edged down to 496.6.
