Zemitana Bridge in Riga to be closed to pedestrian traffic
RIGA, March 18 (LETA) - From Monday, March 24, Zemitana Bridge in Riga will be closed to pedestrian traffic as part of the ongoing reconstruction of the bridge, Riga City Council informed LETA.
Two bus stops on the bridge will also be closed. Residents are advised to use the bus stops near Domina shopping mall and on Caka Street on both sides of the bridge.
During the reconstruction works, concrete stairs will be dismantled on both sides of the bridge.
Pedestrians will have to use a pedestrian bridge over the railroads close to Zemitana train station.
