Covid-19 incidence over 1,000 cases per 100,000 residents only in Preili municipality
RIGA, April 20 (LETA) - Covid-19 incidence level is over 1,000 cases per 100,000 residents only in Preili municipality, according to the Center for Disease Prevention and Control (CDC).
The two-week cumulative incidence in Latvia has dropped to 477.9 cases per 100,000 residents, while the average level is exceeded in 19 municipalities.
In the past two weeks, Preili municipality has recorded 1,396.3 Covid-19 cases per 100,000 population. Daugavpils follows with 945.1 cases per 100,000 population and Kraslava municipality 908.7 cases per 100,000 population.
The lowest two-week Covid-19 incidence rate - 148.5 cases per 100,000 population - is currently in the municipality of Bauska in southern Latvia.
Of the 985 new Covid-19 cases confirmed in Latvia in the past day, 24 percent, or 274 cases, have been recorded in Riga.
