Riga City Council supports transforming seven secondary schools into basic schools
RIGA, June 8 (LETA) - Starting from next school year, seven Riga secondary schools will be reorganized into basic schools, according to the decision made by the Riga City Council.
Lawmakers supported renaming Ilguciems Secondary School, Daugavgriva Secondary School, Riga Secondary Schools No. 46, 63, 74, 85 to basic schools.
Riga Secondary School No. 28 will be renamed to Riga Sarkandaugava Basic School.
As reported, in February, the Riga City Council supported liquidation of Riga Basic School No. 65, Riga Secondary School No. 14 and Riga Secondary School No. 18.
