Ignitis Renewables to build solar parks in Kuldiga, Tukums and Bauska regions
RIGA, Sept 27 (LETA) - Ignitis Renewables, a renewable energy company of the Lithuanian state-owned power utility Ignitis Grupe, will build solar parks in Latvia's Kuldiga, Tukums and Bauska regions, as the company's representatives informed LETA.
Ignitis Renewables is currently developing two solar parks in Latvia, including a 94 megawatt (MW) solar park in Kuldiga Region and a 145 MW solar park in Bauska Region.
A total of 389,000 solar panels will be set up in these parks, which will provide green energy to almost 96,000 households. The solar park in Bauska Region will be put into operation in 2025.
Later this fall, construction of a 174 MW solar park in Tume County, Tukums Region will commence. More than 282,000 solar panels are to be installed there that will provide electricity for more than 85,000 households.
Ignitis Renewables' solar parks will cover a total area of 573 hectares.
As reported, Ignitis Renewables Latvia was registered in Latvia on February 16, 2022. The company's share capital is EUR 2 million, and its sole owner is Ignitis Renewables, according to Firmas.lv.
