Municipalities of Marupe and Kekava show highest Covid-19 incidence in Latvia
RIGA, Jan 6 (LETA) - The municipalities of Marupe and Kekava near Riga are showing the highest Covid-19 incidence in Latvia, according to the latest data released by the Center for Disease Prevention and Control (CDC).
Latvia's cumulative two-week number of Covid-19 cases has risen to 686.2 per 100,000 population.
Over the past day, Covid-19 incidence hit 1,459.3 cases per 100,000 population in Marupe municipality and 1,180.3 cases per 100,000 population in Kekava municipality.
In 14 municipalities, Covid-19 incidence currently exceeds Latvia's average number.
Of the 1,994 new Covid-19 cases confirmed in Latvia in the past 24 hours, 43 percent, or 867 cases, have been recorded in Riga.
