More than 8,640 people got Covid-19 shot during three days of live queue
RIGA, April 19 (LETA) - During the three days of the live queue at mass vaccination centers, 8,640 people got their first dose of Covid-19 vaccine, according to the information provided by the organizers of the process.
Three mass vaccination centers on Friday administered Covid-19 shots to 3,250 people. On Saturday eight vaccination centers were opened, using up slightly more than 5,000 people.
On Sunday, only two centers were open - in Daugavpils and Cesis - immunizing 392 people.
Riga reported the longest queues, while some vaccines were left unused in Daugavpils because of low interest, said Vaccination Project Bureau representative Agense Strazda.
Mass vaccination centers used AstraZeneca vaccines.
