JELGAVA, Jan 22 (LETA) - Almost all residents at nursing home Ziedkalni have tested positive for Covid-19, and there are also many Covid-19 positive residents at Lielberze nursing home, as the Welfare Ministry's representative Egils Zarins told LETA.

According to the latest data, 142 out of 149 residents at Ziedkalne nursing home have tested positive for Covid-19, as well as 23 employees.

At Lielberze nursing home, 94 out of 132 residents have tested positive for Covid-19, as well as 23 employees.

According to the Disease Prevention and Control Center's data, a high cumulative fourteen-day number of Covid-19 cases per 100,000 residents has been registered in Ropazi Region (central Latvia). 68 out of 282 residents and 24 employees at Ropazi nursing home have contracted Covid-19, said Zarins.
