Nearly half of Latvia's new Covid-19 cases recorded in Riga
RIGA, April 19 (LETA) - Of the 202 new Covid-19 cases confirmed in Latvia in the past 24 hours, nearly half have been recorded in Riga, while a relatively high number of cases have been reported also in Jelgava, according to the data released by the Center for Disease Prevention and Control (CDC).
Riga reported 93 new Covid-19 cases, which brought the capital city's 14-day cumulative number of Covid-19 cases to 2,459.
In Jelgava, the cumulative 14-day Covid-19 incidence grew to 390 cases, with 13 cases confirmed in the past 24 hours.
The Tukums region reported eight new cases, Daugavpils and the Ogre region reported six cases each, and Liepaja and the Jaunpils region reported five Covid-19 cases each.
Latvia's cumulative 14-day number of Covid-19 cases per 100,000 population is currently 383.3, according to LETA's estimates.
