Highest number of Latvia's new Covid-19 cases recorded in Riga, Daugavpils, Jurmala and Rezekne
RIGA, Feb 2 (LETA) - Of the 775 new Covid-19 cases confirmed in Latvia in the past 24 hours, 41 percent have been recorded in Riga, while a relatively high number of cases were reported also in Daugavpils, Rezekne and Jurmala, according to the data released by the Center for Disease Prevention and Control (CDC).
The 319 new cases discovered in Riga brought the cumulative 14-day number of Covid-19 cases in the Latvian capital to 3,563.
The cumulative 14-day number of Covid-19 cases in Daugavpils reached 773, with 38 cases registered in the past 24 hours. 37 new cases in Rezekne raised the cumulative 14-day number of Covid-19 cases to 256. Jurmala reported 32 new Covid-19 cases, bringing the total number of Covid-19 cases to 252. Jelgava posts 19 new cases, bringing the total number of Covid-19 cases to 196.
Latvia's cumulative 14-day number of Covid-19 cases per 100,000 population is now 561.2.
