Highest number of Latvia's new Covid-19 cases recorded in Riga and Daugavpils
RIGA, Oct 14 (LETA) - Out of the 2,408 new Covid-19 cases confirmed in Latvia over the past 24 hours, more than a third were reported in Riga and Daugavpils, according to the data released by the Center for Disease Prevention and Control (CDC).
The 715 new cases discovered in Riga brought the cumulative 14-day number of Covid-19 cases in the Latvian capital to 6,120.
Cumulative 14-day Covid-19 incidence in Daugavpils rose to record 1,377 cases, with 216 cases confirmed in the past 24 hours.
Liepaja reported 90 new Covid-19 cases, Jekabpils Region 80 cases, Ludza Region 69 cases, Kraslava Region 65 cases, Rezekne 63 cases and Ropazi Region 62 cases. A number of other municipalities registered fewer cases.
Aluksne and Adazi were the only regions reporting no new Covid-19 cases on Thursday.
Latvia's cumulative 14-day number of Covid-19 cases per 100,000 population grew 1,056.8, according to LETA's estimates based on CDC data.
