188 education institutions in 39 municipalities to continue education process remotely
RIGA, Sept 14 (LETA) - Due to Covid-19 outbreak, 188 education institutions in 39 municipalities will continue the education process remotely, said State Education Quality Service (IKVD) expert Jana Veinberga.
The education process this school year was started in 672 institutions.
On elementary education level, Covid-19 was reported in 471 classrooms, and in 178 cases classes switched to remote learning, while 115 classes continue partly remote learning. On secondaru education level, 101 classes have switched to remote or partly remote learning.
Most often decisions on remote learning were made in education institutions in Riga, Jelgava, Liepaja and Jekabpils.
