Most of Latvia's new Covid-19 cases recorded in Riga, Rezekne, Daugavpils
RIGA, April 27 (LETA) - Of the 596 new Covid-19 cases confirmed in Latvia in the past 24 hours, 32 percent have been registered in Riga, while considerably large numbers were also reported in Rezekne, Daugavpils and Tukums county, according to the data released by the Center for Disease Prevention and Control (CDC).
Riga reported 192 new Covid-19 cases, which brought the capital city's cumulative 14-day number of Covid-19 cases to 2,582.
26 new Covid-19 cases were reported in Rezekne, bringing the cumulative two-week number to 163. 21 new cases were registered in the Tukums region, and the two-week number has risen to 164, while 20 new cases were reported in Daugavpils, where the cumulative two-week incidence has dropped to 278.
Latvia's cumulative 14-day number of Covid-19 cases per 100,000 population is currently 407.7, according to LETA's estimates.
