Most of Latvia's new Covid-19 cases recorded in Riga, Daugavpils and Jelgava
RIGA, Mar 26 (LETA) - Of the 638 new Covid-19 cases confirmed in Latvia on Thursday, nearly 30 percent were recorded in Riga and a relatively high number of cases were recorded also in Daugavpils and Jelgava, according to the data released by the Center for Disease Prevention and Control (CDC).
Riga reported 185 new Covid-19 cases, which brought the capital city's 14-day cumulative number of Covid-19 cases to 2,379.
Daugavpils reported 35 new cases, while the city's cumulative 14-day incidence reached 392. In Jelgava, the cumulative 14-day number of Covid-19 cases reached 305, with 35 cases recorded in the past 24 hours.
Latvia's cumulative 14-day number of Covid-19 cases per 100,000 population is 377.8, according to LETA's estimates.
