Most of Latvia's new Covid-19 cases recorded in Riga and Jelgava
RIGA, Aug 11 (LETA) - Of the 120 new Covid-19 cases confirmed in Latvia in the past 24 hours, half have been recorded in Riga, and a larger number in Jelgava, according to the data of the Center for Disease Prevention and Control (CDC).
The 62 new Covid-19 cases recorded in Riga on Tuesday brought the city's cumulative 14-day number of Covid-19 cases to 470.
Meanwhile, seven new Covid-19 cases were reported in Jelgava and four were detected in Liepjama, the municipalities of Bauska, Ropazi and Valmiera. Several other municipalities registered fewer cases, the CDC said.
Latvia's cumulative 14-day number of Covid-19 cases per 100,000 population rose to 55.8, according to CDC data.
