    Nearly half of Latvia's latest Covid-19 cases reported in Riga

    RIGA, Dec 21 (LETA) - Of the 395 new Covid-19 cases confirmed in Latvia in the past 24 hours, nearly half have been recorded in Riga, according to the data from the Center for Disease Prevention and Control (CDC).

    With 183 new cases registered in Riga, the capital city's 14-day cumulative number of Covid-19 cases is now 3,609.

    Jelgava and Rezekne each recorded 17 new coronavirus cases. The 14-day cumulative number of Covid-19 cases reached 402 in Jelgava and 257 in Rezekne. 

    Jekabpils and Iecava each recorded 11 new cases, as the 14-day cumulative number of Covid-19 cases reached 212 in Jekabpils and 160 in Iecava. 

    The municipalities with the highest 14-day cumulative number of Covid-19 cases include Riga with 3,609 cases, Daugavpils with 1,201 cases, Jelgava with 402 cases, Rezekne 2with 257 cases, Jurmala with 208 cases, Ventspils with 172 cases, Iecava region with 160 cases and Ogre region with 158 cases. 

    Latvia's 14-day cumulative number of Covid-19 cases per 100,000 population is now 511.2 cases.
