Turnover of Rigas Udens increased by 7.1% in H1
Riga, Aug 29 (LETA) - The turnover of Rigas Udens municipal water utility in the first half of this year was EUR 39.634 million, which is 7.1 percent more than in the same period last year, but the company's profit decreased 4.7 times and amounted to EUR 518,714, according to information provided by the company to the Nasdaq Riga stock exchange.
The company's management reported that the increase in Rigas Udens revenue in the first half of 2025 is mainly due to the increase in water services tariffs from January 1, 2025.
The management report also stated that Rigas Udens income from services in the Pieriga region amounted to EUR 1.4 million in the first six months of this year, of which 88 percent was from sewerage services.
In total, Rigas Udens sold 15.279 million cubic meters of water in the first half of 2025, which is 0.1 percent less than in the same period last year, while the volume of sewerage services decreased by 1.3 percent and amounted to 18.274 million cubic meters.
Rigas Udens invested EUR 14.58 million in the first half of this year, which is 6.3 percent less than in the first half of 2024.
In 2024, Riga Udens audited turnover was EUR 76.336 million, down 0.1 percent on 2023, but due to the revaluation of assets, the company sustained a loss of EUR 18.275 million, compared to a profit of EUR 18.275 million in 2023.
Rigas Udens provides urban water supply services in Riga and several areas of the Pieriga Region - Adazi, Ropazi, Marupe and Kekava, as well as wastewater collection and treatment services. The company is wholly owned by the Riga Municipality.
