RIGA, Jan 21 (LETA) - Riga city municipal budget is planned with a EUR 124 million deficit, while the overall expenses will increase EUR 1 billion, the Riga City Council financial and administration affairs committee reported.

The budget revenue for 2021 is planned at EUR 916.6 million, and expenditure at EUR 1.04 billion.

Tax revenue is projected at EUR 671.4 million, the government budget transfers at EUR 200.4 million, and non-tax revenue at EUR 13.9 million. 

Expenditure on education will amount to EUR 404 million, on economic operations - EUR 247.5 million, on social protection - EUR 112.3 million, and on general government services - EUR 105.6 million.
