Heating tariffs in Mucenieki, Ropazi and Zakumuiza could increase by more than 100% in April
RIGA, Jan 21 (LETA) - From April 1, heating tariffs in Mucenieki, Ropazi and Zakumuiza could increase by more than 100 percent, according to heat supply company Vilkme's statement printed in the government gazette Latvijas Vestnesis.
Vilkme has submitted its draft heating tariffs to the Public Utilities Commission.
According to Vilkme, heating tariffs in Mucenieki will increase by 142.9 percent from EUR 48.86 per megawatt-hour (MWh) to EUR 118.16 per MWh. The heat production tariff will increase by 163.3 percent and the heat transmission and distribution tariff by 170.3 percent, while the trade tariff will decrease by 68 percent and the excise duty component by 4.8 percent.
The heating tariff in Ropazi will increase by 111.2 percent from EUR 55.59 per MWh to EUR 117.40 per MWh, and in Zakumuiza by 132.7 percent to EUR 115.16 per MWh.
In addition, the heating tariff in Silakrogs will increase by 27.7 percent from EUR 62.70 per MWh to EUR 80.08 per MWh, and in Edelveisi neighborhood of the village of Ropazi by 12.8 percent from EUR 63.69 per MWh to EUR 71.84 per MWh.
The new tariffs could come into force on April 1.
Vilkme was registered in1992, its share capital is EUR 824,475, according to Firmas.lv. The company has not yet released its results for 2021, while in 2020 Vilkme posted EUR 1.884 million in turnover and EUR 84,790 in profit. Vilkme belongs to Ropazi Region Council.
