Ansins elected Liepaja mayor
RIGA, July 1 (LETA) - Liepaja Party representative and former vice mayor Gunars Ansins has been elected the mayor of Liepaja city.
Ansins was supported with 14 votes.
Liepaja Party agreed on cooperation with the Latvian Alliance of Regions (LRA) and the National Alliance.
Liepaja Party won six mandates at the city council, LRA won five mandates, Harmony won two mandates, Movement For, New Unity and Progressives won one mandate, while the National Alliance also won one mandate.
